The Soul Reaper
On The Surface ___Name: Miyuki Wakahisa 美雪 若久
Name Meaning: Miyuki is broken down into two parts: Mi and Yuki, directly translating to "Beautiful Snow." Wakahisa, also broken down into Waka (Young) and Hisa (longevity, ancient), means "Forever Young."
Age (Current life): About a Year (appears to be mid-late teens)
Age (Total): 100 years (21 human, 73 Hollow, 5 Arrancar, 5 months Broken, 5 months human, ~7 months Shinigami)
Sexuality: Bisexual (preference for girls)
Division: Captain of the Third
Height & Weight: 152 cm / 47kg (5'0'' / 105 lbs)
Body Build: Athletic
Hair & Eyes: Black Hair / Blue Eyes
Hair Style: Long ponytale tied with black cloth
Uniform Modifications: None
Off Duty Clothing: Sweaters and slacks
For the most part, she agrees to wear the standard Shinigami uniform with no modifications whatsoever. Her particular uniform, however, is just a bit too small due to her awkward sizing. The sleeves of the Kosode don't quite fall all the way to her wrists, the bottom of the Hakama reach only just above her ankles. While this does keep her hands and feet rather free and easily moved, at times the tightness of it can make her wish she could dump the outfit entirely.
Under her baggy clothing is a well defined body with just enough muscle to prove that she tends to stick to her work out plan, or that she makes a living as a n extreme traceuse. Both of those things are true in Miyuki's case. She gets a very special sort of rush running through the Seireitei at full speed, climbing, jumping, and dodging through various obstacles for no reason other than to show off. In her early days of learning parkour, she fell down just a like your typical newbie and earned her fair share of scars and callouses on her hands and feet.
Surprisingly, she often opts to stay away from the barracks for her training. Instead, she prefers training solo by either running through the divisions like a chicken with her head cut off, or finding a nice, secluded place to gather her thoughts and practice her spiritual abilities. Despite a few stern warnings from the higher ups, she shows no signs of using proper training grounds.
As someone who likes to talk a lot, one of the first things people are greeted by is her voice. Her voice is a bit lower than the typical girl's, but the way it moves up and down like gentle waves makes everything she's saying come to life, much like an overexcited teenager might do. This singsong quality to her voice makes her sound happy even when she's down in the dumps. That being said, it's very rare for her to be seen without a smile on her face and even rarer to actually see her genuinely upset about anything.
Despite the niceness of her tone and her tenancy to be overly respectful to those around her, she does have a way of making sure she's the loudest one talking and that she's always the center of attention. Be it the way she stands up straight and likes to test everyone's personal space, or the way she interrupts others just so she can say something, she can be a bit annoying when it comes to group activities.
Behind The Eyes ___
Miyuki can easily be defined as a go-getter hero who jumps at the chance to save the day. With enough confidence to fuel a small country and the voice of a motivational speaker, she's boisterous, friendly, and is used to people flocking to her. All of this really centers around the fact that she survives off the confirmation of others. This shows in the aforementioned way she jumps to the rescue of others, or in the most subtle way she jumps from activity to activity, trying to improve herself more every single day so that she can stand out in the crowd.
AdventurousIt's dangerous to go alone! Excitement is around every corner for Miyuki. With a wild, imaginative mind like her own, it's easy for her to see something as mundane as going to the store as a quest to save the princess, only to later find out Miyuki forgot milk and must quest to another tower. This high spirited attitude of hers pushes her to move forward in life and find the next adventure waiting for her so that she can sharpen her metaphorical sword and slay the not so metaphorical dragon that's been eating lost souls for about a century now. It goes without saying that this gives her a certain level of reckless bravery when it comes to tackling challenges and she can often make things out to be far more dramatic than they actually are.
CreativeWhile her creativity comes in massive bursts as opposed to a steady stream of ideas, no one can deny that her mind is definitely set on the artistic side as opposed to logical. Most of the times this shows in her simple love for art and music, but it can also show in her less than rational decision making skills. She comes up with daring, crazy schemes to get things done and doing the same thing twice is taboo. In a lot of ways, this makes her slightly experienced in a lot of things, as opposed to really good at specific things. It also helps her learn through the massive amount of mistakes she tends to make. A slow going process, but it's one that ultimately makes her a challenging foe.
ConfidentPut your best foot forward! Not necessarily in the way she talks, but more in the way she does things, Miyuki is never unsure of her ideas. An odd mix of bravery and recklessness always keeps her looking forward and further fuels this weird urge of her to try off the wall things. When an idea comes to her mind, she puts in all of her cards and does it with that cocky grin of hers. Even when that obnoxious plan to try and land a plane on top of a barn doesn't work, she can easily shrug it off like it was no big deal and start working on plan B.
ForgivingWe all make mistakes! Maybe a bit too nice, she always gives people around her the benefit of the doubt and even if they did end up guilty, she never holds anything against anyone. This might go a bit too far when compared to other people, but even Miyuki with all of her compassion struggles to forgive those who are truly evil. However, that doesn't mean she refuses to show even the most corrupt being mercy. At the end of the day, she'd much rather save and fix people as opposed to kill them, even if murder is for the greater good.
HeroicI have to do this alone! She's always the one who goes charging in head first to protect those she cares for. Her unconditional loyalty to not only her loved ones, but also her world and morals makes her stand strong and proud against those who stand in her way. If given the choice to jump off a cliff to save just one person, or to live and watch that person die, Miyuki will always pick the former without any hesitation. This strong sense of right is one of her most defining traits and lets her fit nicely in the role of a Hero, even in situations that wouldn't necessarily be heroic. From things as large as saving cities to as small as getting a cat from a tree, she makes every effort she possibly can to do what'd good and make her home a better place.
FriendlyIt's just what friends do! Even to strangers, she shows the highest respect and niceness to everyone she comes by. Topped off with a natural love for people and her tight conversational skills, Miyuki comes off as incredibly personable and she has a way of making it easy for others to like her. Obviously, she has her flaws and little quirks to her personality, but most of them are covered by her genuine love for making people feel happy and welcomed when they're around her. In the most extreme cases, this is shown in the way she happily gives up her own food or possessions to those less fortunate just to make them feel a little better for the time being.
OptimisticThe bright side's the right side! Nothing is ever truly bad in her eyes. There's always some sort of good to be found and she'll be the first to remind everyone of that. At times this can be almost annoying and maybe a bit disrespectful, but in all situations it's only her wanting to do the best. Because she hates to see people down, she always keeps a smile on her face with the hope of making them feel better. This is only one of the strong motivators for her to be so Heroic and one of the reasons people tend to flock to her.
PassionateFollow your heart! Everything she does is backed up with more than enough emotion. Expressive and eager to tell everyone just how she feels, Miyuki is an emotionally driven person who always acts on her feelings as opposed to any sort of logic that may be presented. She also gets quickly tied up in relationships, often being a page or two ahead of the other person, and typically tries her best to reach out to everyone around her. This can make her seem a bit overbearing, or maybe like she's trying too hard, but it's all very serious to her. Her heart is her guide and she never second guesses it.
The flip side to her need to have all eyes on her is that she often pushes the boundaries of endearing and just plain annoying. Loud, passionate, and happy to get right up in your face, for the vast majority of people there are definitely a lot of things to be turned off about. While Miyuki does truly mean the best for everyone around her, that crippling need for others funnels her vision to just one thing: impressing everyone. In theory (and in her head) it sounds simple enough, but in practice she lacks the social grace to understand that she's gone a bit too far and is simply pushing everyone away from her.
AssertiveJust listen to me, okay! Miyuki definitely has a few issues of her own to work through, namely being the way she thinks she can tell everyone what to do. While she only does with this good intentions, it always comes off as her being demanding and trying to get others to follow behind her like good little sheep. When she's particularly heated, she can get rather hot tongued in attempts to get others to back down, often making her out to be the bad guy. She never has any intention to hurt others, but when they do stupid things that get them into trouble, leaving her to pick up the pieces, she can get more than a little controlling of that person.
BoisterousOh, c'mon, everyone likes to fun around! Another branch of that possessive/pushy side of her is this loud, rambunctious side of her. She may be laughing and having a good time, but her voice may get a bit too loud when she's excited and she may get a bit too pushy when it comes to sports, physical activities, or even just playful banter. Once again, it's never with malicious intent, but she definitely can be a lot to handle, especially when the other person is more reserved and doesn't have the will to speak over her.
InquisitiveHey, tell me what you're doing! To some this may seem like a good thing--the pursuit of knowledge should always be rewarded, right? Miyuki takes it to new level, though. She can become completely engulfed by the need to learn something in particular. Usually, this shows up in her randomly deciding learning how to do something over night and thus locking herself in her room without any food or sleep until she feels like she's become an expert on the matter. However, this also shows in the more common way she constantly pokes her nose in everyone's business, prying her way into other people's personal lives just so she can learn something new about them.
DependantLook, look! This not so subtle trait of hers is seen in nearly everything she does. She relies so much on the approval of those around her that she either changes herself, or becomes obsessed trying to impress them and when she can't find that approval she so desperately needs she becomes lost. Without having people close to her and getting that positive reinforcement, she can become almost crippled to the point of not doing anything.
ErraticLets got to Germany for the weekend! The flip side to her creative streak is her out of control mind. She can so easily flip between two ideas that she often breaks off mid sentence to talk about something else on her mind. This can make keeping up with her even when in simple conversations a chore. Alongside that is her overwhelming need to go places and do things; she hardly stays in one place for too long, otherwise she finds herself restless and cranky.
FieryDon't tell me how to live my life! While she's not exactly hot headed, nor is she an angry person to any degree, she does have a tendency to snap when things go don't the way she planned, or when someone tries to tie her down. Of course, she'll instantly apologize for "exploding", but when its all said and done she has that nastiness lurking under her smile and every now and then it comes out. When she's particularly perturbed, she can lash out at those around her and, due to the unfiltered way she talks, can really hurt the feelings of those around her.
RecklessDon't look down! Much like the typical hero who goes head first into the heat of battle, Miyuki rushes forward without much foresight on her part. This often leads with her tackling on things way outside of her power level, but due to her confidence and strong desire to do what's right, she'll never back down in the face of danger. True this trait is the single thing that drives her to be the beest and is the closest thing to a motivator for her to improve, it's safely within the realm of being a negative for her. After all, she can't learn anything if she ends up killing herself in the process.
StubbornShut up! It comes without a surprise that she can be more than a little set in her ways and boy does she have the mouth to protect it. She doesn't necessarily hold onto failed ideas, or things that she knows wouldn't work out, but once she puts her mind to something 'new' she will pursue it despite everyone telling her it's a bad idea. If she hasn't tried it with her own hands, she's going to. She also feels the need to aggressively protect the morals and people she believes in to the point of dismissing anyone or anything that might draw into question the things she's doing.
Languages: Spanish (Primary), Japanese (Secondary-Fluent), German (Tertiary-Fluent), English (Quaternary-Conversational)
While she has no recollection of learning any languages, but she knows how to efficiently speak Japanese, Spanish, and German, each with equal finesse. She tends to favor Spanish in most conversations, and using English only for basic conversations when necessary.
Her strongest skill, outside of physical ones, is her ability to learn through sounds. It could be argued that her natural ability to pick up languages and the subtleties of conversations is her strong point, however most of everything she learns is through some form of musical arts. Songs are always playing in her head, she has a natural affinity for playing instruments, and she has a deep appreciation for all varieties of musics.
She has no strong ties to religion and could probably be swayed either way should she be presented a solid explanation, however something in her tells her that the concept of any sort of God is just completely wrong. The fact that Hollows and Shinigami exist work against anything religious scripts have to say, though maybe she never read the literature in the right state of mind.
Phobias: Drowning, tight spaces
These two phobias surface from memories she doesn't have. Drowning is such a deep set fear that she avoids water altogether, opting out of pool parties or trips to the beach. However, it's a fear she could face should it mean life or death. However, her claustrophobia is another story entirely. When trapped within small places, she completely locks up, unable to do anything except cry as she succumbs to the panic attack.
Hobbies: Singing, Exercising, Studying
She finds it hard to busy herself with real hobbies, so to say she does any of these things often is sort of an understatement. While she definitely passes the time by singing whatever song she has stuck in her head, to say she does it habitually wouldn't be correct. That being said, she does tend to stay fit by going on jogs whenever she feels like it, or a random trip to the gym. Even more sporadically, she'll decide to go on a learning binge and teach herself an entire subject in just a few weeks time.

Strength Of The World ___
"Kyofu de mahi shimasu, Kanou and Hajime!"
Zanpakutō Spirit: Kanou "The Witch" and Hajime "The Broken Queen" make for a wonderful pairing that are always looking out for Miyuki's best interests. That is, when they can get along. The two of them are drastically different beings, with the former representing the part of Miyuki that wants to go out and get things done and the latter wanting to ensure nothing bad every happens to anyone.
i.imgur.com/2YcBuqD.jpg(Aircraft Carrier Hime - Kantai Collection)
Kanou is a... Mature woman, to put it nicely. A body to kill for and a voice of a professional singer, she's both easy on the eyes and ears in terms of first impressions. Often wearing white clothes to match her incredibly white skin and even whiter hair, her wardrobe, however, could use a few pointers. But, no matter how boring her outfit is, her personality makes up for it. Wild, unfiltered, and eager to see everything there is to see, to call her an adrenaline junky would barely begin to describe how amped up a person she can be.
i.imgur.com/3G4IUHE.jpg(Yuzuki Yukari - Vocaloid)
Hajime, on the other hand, is everything Kanou is not. She's unmature in terms of her body, her voice is a bit whiny and can get on most people's nerves, and she actually knows how to dress herself with things that compliment her fair skin and light purple hair. And, keeping to that theme, she is anything but a junky. She's timid, cautious, and would rather everyone just stay inside and read a book instead of going out and causing trouble. She wants nothing more than to keep Miyuki from doing anything harmful and making the wrong enemies.
Inner World: 41.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m7zgr2fPEg1rbvjfno1_540.jpg
A world of complete blackness that stretches on eternally in every direction. No sense of direction, motion, anything. Just a lonely soul that falls for eternity.
Well, an eternity that lasts an entire three seconds.
Entering her inner world is like being spawned in a void. Endless falling until the server realizes what happens and respawns you, only the coordination is just a hair off. It spawns you a few feet above a small pool of water and lets you fall into it mercilessly.
The world, if it can even be called that, is a tiny cavern with a small, shallow pool in the center. The water, cold as ice, perfectly reflects the uninspiring scenery of the cavern. White crystals line all edges of the cave, each one sharpened to a point and pointed towards the center of the cave, as if gravity was pulling pulled in that direction. To be fair, though, there is a distinct pull towards the middle of the pool. So much so that there's a constant rippling effect in the water, pulling it towards the middle only for it to be pushed away by the other waves.
Sealed Zanpakutō: Miyuki is 'graced' with having two Zanpakutō, though not in the standard dual blade form. No, hers takes on an extreme form that properly represents the duality of her Zanpakutō spirits.
The first blade is small. Nothing more than a dagger that couldn't even go all the way through a body. The blade itself is a brilliantly white metal that is polished enough to even reflect anything that's reasonably close enough to it. To pair with that pure whiteness is a white sheath with a blue ribbon tightly wrapped around it in a cross pattern. The ribbon, being just long enough to fully wrap around the sheath, is sealed on the hilt and the hand guard of the blade.
The second is the complete opposite in every term of the word. It's incredibly massive--so much so that she wears it across her back and even then it's only a couple inches away from dragging against the ground. Long and flat, it's far more similar to a claymore than the typical katana or nodachi that most Shinigami would have with them. The blade is dark in comparison to its white partner, though not pitch black entirely. In fact, the coloring is pretty standard in terms of Shinigami blades. The sheath, much like the other, is decorated with the exact same blue ribbon in the same pattern, though this ribbon is tied in a small bow just under the hand guard.
Released Zanpakutō: Kanou, the massive claymore sword changes very little. Other than the handguard becoming an elaborate, vine line pattern that forms a loose circle outward and then curls in towards the grip, the only noticable change is the material of the blade turning completely black. Hajime, on the other hand, completely changes. While the size of the blade remains the same, the entire blade itself is replaced with a messy bouquet of crystals that seem to be plucked straight from her inner world. While they all loosely point upwards, there are a few stray ones that poke out in random directions.
But that isn't where the real change happens. Standing out as a unique case among the typical Shinigami, Miyuki's form changes alongside her swords. She completely loses the black robes Shinigami wear and instead gains a tight fitting white dress. The dress is made of a beautiful silk that seems to always fix itself every time she releases, ensuring that every time she does her outfit looks brand new. The sleeves, however, seem to have been torn off and instead are just a frayed mess that spill out over her shoulders and around her neck. The only change in coloration of the dress are a few blue lines drawn out along the sides and across her chest and biceps.
Adorning the white dress are white gloves and boots. They're both made of some sort of silken leather that matches the dress perfectly.
Zanpakutō Power: Unbeknownst to her, Miyuki's power is one that she has had for just over a century now. A power that has defined her and become synonymous with the late Queen who could move faster than the eye could follow.
Her power is speed manipulation.
In her previous life, the power had chance to evolve and grow as she advanced as a Hollow, but that luxury is lost on the soul that was thrust into a human body, so she is left with only the skeleton of what it once was.
By focusing on a singular object, she can slow or speed up the speed of the area around them, either forcing them to a crawl, or speeding herself up to insane levels. Surprisingly, she has only just recently even unlocked the ability to speed herself up, so it should come as no shock that she's far more comfortable with effecting others rather than herself.
Perhaps not apparently on the surface, this power has always been about what drives her soul. That need to either keep people close, or for her to turn and run away from them. In her previous life, it had always been about pushing others away--getting away from them and staying alone. Now, with this second chance, her focus is on keeping people still and trapping them in the same state she had met them.
Change terrifies her, so her soul has granted her the primitive choice of Fight or Flight. Stay, or run away.

What was forgotten (Roleplay Sample)
“Nothing,” she mumbled, her voice nothing more than a breath of air that trembled as a fresh wave of agony struck her through the core. “You don’t feel anything for me? Nothing at all..?” Her body, broken, bleeding, and at its limits caved under her, reducing her to nothing more than a half-sobbing heap on the destroyed ceiling.
Everything in her life had built up for this moment. Everything she had done braced her for the very second she would collapse before him and finally accept defeat. And everything he had done had prepared him to look down at her with those broken emotions. No... That emptiness. He didn't care for her. There was no empathy. She could search for days and all she would find would be disappointment.
In the moment that brilliant light had engulfed her, she wondered if maybe... Maybe she had been wrong about him. About herself. In a brief moment of clarity that came just before her death, regret replaced the anger that had consumed her. Sheer, never ending torture awaited her--she had resigned herself to that when she had been alive. She knew the things she had done were unforgivable and there was no way she was going to be saved.
She didn't deserve to be saved. She deserved to cry in agony for all of time, force to suffer in Hell for the crimes she had done all while being tormented with his face. Her soul had been corrupted far beyond repair. The world simply could not risk giving her a second chance.
The story of Miyuki Wakahisa began when she awoke in a hotel room with no recollection of who she was. With only passing moments of overwhelming emotions to help guide her, the young woman was all but left for the sharks as she fumbled through life with a blindfold on. Only a vague recollection of the area she was in and without a single friend to speak of, to say she was lost would be an understatement.
All she had to her name was a small note detailing her whereabouts and a few personal effects. Following the brief instructions to meet with the receptionist, she left her room and met with the woman. Yet another brief explanation gave her a slightly more elaborate run down of the city of Tokyo and a promise that a woman by the name of Sakura would show her around the city in the next morning.
Stumbling around, blindly following the orders of those around her sums up the first few weeks of her new life. With her room booked for three weeks and all the time in the world to turn herself into a functioning member of society, it should come as no surprise that the vast majority of her time was spent locked away in her room, browsing the internet or watching local television. That's what mature adults did, wasn't it?
Be it from pity or general interest, the hotel worker Sakura offered Miyuki a place to stay once her time at the hotel was up. Naturally, Miyuki agreed. And from there, the days of mindless wandering came to a stop. The amnesiac needed to start making her own life and while she had never been one to dwell over what she had lost, the time for using that as an excuse came to an end.
Miyuki and Sakura lived together, briefly dated, but remained close friends as the weeks turned to months. Miyuki managed a part time job at a local grocery store, and started to slowly learn more and more about who she was as a person. Each day was a new experience. Little things like learning how much she loved candy, or how beautiful of a singing voice she had, were milestones many people reached in their younger years. This kept her in a state of awe-like wonder, urging her to reach out and try new things as often as possible.
Between her job and her life at home with Sakura, there was little to be said about the woman who was slowly starting to create an identity for herself from scratch. She was athletic, hard working, and was always at the center of every event that happened--good or bad. But still, nothing made her shine as an anomaly in Tokyo. True, she ran faster than even Olympic runners, and sure she was known for being abnormally tough, but despite all of that, she was just a girl who was trying to make a life for herself.
Until the day she first laid eyes on a Hollow.
The event wasn't much to speak of, really. She was on her way home when from the corner of her eyes she saw a large white mass rounding the corner. Sheer curiosity made her follow the snake like creature and sheer dumb luck made the monster notice her. For whatever reason the thing had, it's attention focused on her and before she knew it, she was blazing through the streets, the creature snapping its jaws at her ankles as she rounded corners and avoided any sort of traffic.
Even more dumb luck trapped her at a dead end alleyway.
With no where to turn and adrenaline making up 90% of her blood, she turned and faced down the monster, her subconscious constantly telling her to fight the thing. That was the plan: to punch the monster in the face and then beat it down with her bare hands. That wasn't exactly what happened, though.
She raised her hands, ready to stop the drooling maw from chomping down on her, but the moment her hands came up, reality shuddered in front of her. The monster, trapped in some sort of time paradox, started moving slower than Miyuki could notice. Nothing about it suggested that it even knew what was happening.
Without thinking, Miyuki turned tail and ran away.
